DorisDesktop Now Available

December 3rd, 2010 by Demian Turner

By way of an early Christmas present, please check out DorisDesktop, a Mac desktop version of Doris.  The main selling point is it’s much faster than all the other clients, around 10x faster.  So if you have a huge todo list, DorisDesktop is for you.

This is a very early version so only basic functionality is available for now, more features planned soon.

Please download the app and give it a try, and let me know what you think.

This version is only for Mac users I’m afraid.

Good to have this working, but the online version has a better usability. The drag and drop feature to sort todos, move them up on the list + the good list view is the realasset of Doris.

New features will be added shortly after the Christmas break, thanks for your feedback and stay tuned

I should mention that the description field is not supported yet, this will be fixed in the next update after Christmas

I can successfully connect to the DorisDesktop but when I try to sync with my account nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Don – it works for me on several accounts, are you sure you don’t have an empty group selected? The way to test it is select a group with say 3 items, then use the web interface to add another item, then hit sync and its should show up.
